Process Engineer (CNC Machining/Manufacturing/Aerospace)

Process Engineer (CNC Machining) - Milling/Turning/EDM/Lathes Up till $6500 Basic + AWS + Variable Bonus Monday-Friday, 7.30am-5pm Location: Pioneer (transport provided) 3 years of experience in CNC machining or related processes RESPONSIBILITIES: The Process Engineer (Machining) will be responsible for industrializing machining processes (includes CNC mill/turn, EDM, lathes) for gas turbine component repairs. This role includes the implementation and qualification of new equipment and technologies, as well as driving continuous process improvement initiatives. Industrialize machining processes for new and existing products - Qualify CNC milling/turning, EDM, lathes, and other machining processes to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. Ensure all machining processes adhere to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) standards. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to machining processes. Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from SQDC standards. Lead risk reduction and quality improvement projects to enhance machining processes. Drive productivity and sustainability projects to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools and methodologies to solve complex problems. Provide technical guidance, training and support to machining operators and technicians. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. 3 years of experience in CNC machining or related processes Knowledge of gas turbine component repair is advantageous. Familiarity with tooling selection, fixture design, CAD, CAM, and metrology. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
