About the Role The Test Lead is responsible for leading testing activities, coordinating the test team, and ensuring software quality through effective test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting. The role works closely with project manager and development teams to support successful project delivery. Core Responsibilities Prepare and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test schedules. Lead and coordinate day-to-day testing activities. Review test cases and ensure adequate test coverage. Monitor test execution progress and report status, risks, and issues. Manage defect tracking, triage, and resolution with development teams. Support SIT, UAT, regression, and production validation testing. Mentor and provide guidance to testers. Build rapport with testers and stakeholders. Ensure testing deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards. Core Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of software testing experience, including 1-2 years in a lead role. Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM). Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project environments. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Technical Environment Aviation / Aircraft systems domain. Computer Science or Software Engineering background preferred. Experience working with in-house software development. Involved in executing and supporting software testing activities. Exposure to aircraft simulators is an advantage. Familiarity with JIRA and SAP. Programming knowledge in C++ is a strong advantage.
