Temp/ Part-Time Student Care Teacher Assistant

Job Summary Managing a class of 10-18 primary school students by supervising homework and activities, maintaining records, ensuring discipline and safety, and supporting learning through lesson preparation and engagement. Responsibilities Assist the main teacher in managing a class of 10-18 primary school students Supervise and guide students in homework, spelling, and Centre activities under main teacher’s direction Mark students’ work and corrections accurately Ensure completion of school homework by students Conduct evening English activities such as news sharing, discovery, general knowledge, and moral education Assist in conducting art and craft and outdoor activities with the main teacher Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and progress for each child Conduct in-house programs to instill good habits and values in children Serve lunch and tea breaks to students Ensure classroom discipline and safety of children under care with guidance from the main teacher Manage behavioural issues or concerns with children under main teacher’s guidance Assist in preparing and maintaining teaching resources, classroom arrangement, and learning environment Assist in preparing daily lesson plans to engage children effectively Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders (for experienced staff) Demonstrate care and concern for children’s well-being Use computer skills to operate MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for lesson and resource preparation Perform other ad-hoc duties as delegated by the Centre’s manager Preferred competencies and qualifications Familiarity with primary school curricular content in English, Mathematics, Science, and Chinese (not required for those without experience) Experience in building relationships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders
