Senior / Marine Mammal Specialist

Responsibilities: Animal Husbandry: Supervise dolphin care and husbandry, including feeding, handling, observation, enrichment, conditioning and training. Support veterinary procedures. Manage the maintenance of dolphin habitats. Handle data recording and reports. Ensure cleanliness and safety of workplace, tools and equipment. Team Management: Manage overall team performance in animal husbandry, ensuring support and proper training is given to junior members. Guest Programmes: Supervise and perform guest interaction programmes. Plan for improvements in product offerings. Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Life Sciences, Psychology or equivalent. 3 to 5 years of work experience in a marine mammal facility or equivalent. Possess SCUBA certification (preferably at Rescue Diver). Confident to work in an aquatic environment. Animal husbandry knowledge and passion to work with animals. Possess good verbal communication skills. Able to perform shift work, including on weekends and public holidays. Physically fit and able to lift 15kg of weight as this position requires handling of heavy equipment.
