Finance Manager

Finance Manager, Freight | Singapore Job Responsibilities Lead the finance function for the Freight business, ensuring accurate and timely financial accounting and management reporting. Drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process, working closely with the Global Business Services (GBS) team. Prepare and review management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support business performance. Review P&L and balance sheet transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Support statutory audits, AIS audits, and the preparation of financial statements. Partner closely with business stakeholders to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making. Administer SAP and ensure the smooth execution of finance processes and month-end close activities. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. Coordinate with external authorities, including the Maritime Port Authority and Department of Statistics, on regulatory reporting and survey submissions. Requirements Minimum 6 years of relevant finance experience , preferably within dry bulk shipping, freight trading, or a major commodity trading company . Strong experience in financial reporting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close . Good understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (I-SFRS), GST, and corporate taxation. Hands-on experience with SAP ; CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, commercial environment while managing multiple priorities.
