About this role

Our Client is a multinational Pharma and Biotech leader constructing a billion dollar ADC manufacturing facility in Singapore. This is an outsource role. The Construction Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the Client’s SHE policiesand procedures are incorporated and implemented in the all project lifecyclestages. The Construction Safety Coordinator also ensures contractor site safety programs are detailed and adequate during the project execution stage which isnot limited to construction, installation, commissioning, decommissioning and qualification and to meet all relevant objectives set forth in the Client’s SHE RequirementsPlan. This role reports to the Construction Health & Safety Manager. SCOPE OF WORK · Provide Construction Health,Safety & Wellbeing (H, S & W) SME capabilities to support regional portfolios. · Provide assurance and oversight on Client legal duties, the Client’s project H,S & W assurance programme and construction H,S&W best practices during and execution phases. · Ensure contractors have adequate and competent H,S & W resources in place. Monitor performance throughout and address any performance or competence issues. · Ensure contractors develop fit for purpose construction phase plans and project H, S & W programmes that ensure compliance with all legislative, Client’s Global Engineering & Real Estate and local site’s H, S & W requirements. Monitor and audit contractor H, S & W programmes and conduct regular site inspections andworker engagements. · Collaborate with contractors on H, S & W and cultural continuous improvement initiatives. · Ensure there is clarity on transfers of responsibility between Client and contractors, clearly identifying duty holders for all areas including temporary construction facilities. · Where possible, taking account of local legal restrictions, ensure the project implements a clear andagreed procedure for conducting drug and alcohol testing of the workforce.Schedule periodic testing and manage any non-compliances. · Ensure all accidents andincidents are reported and investigated by the contractors with input from allappropriate stakeholders, and that root cause analysis is comprehensive.Provide SME input to investigations, recording all events in PM Vitals andClient’s SHE System where required, and ensuring that legal reporting duties tolocal authorities are complied with, tracking actions to closure. · Ensure project H, S & W dashboards are in place and monthly reporting requirements are being met in to Client’s projects and Global SHE. · Create and share Global SHE alerts and learning from incidents, ensuring learnings are embedded across allthe GERE portfolio. · Act as a core team member inregional construction SHE networks, aligning on ways of working andconstruction H, S & W best practices. · Collaborate and align with local site SHE leadership teams. · Support development of construction H, S & W leadership skills and competencies across the Client’s project teams.
