Responsibilities include prepping ingredients, cooking and plating dishes, managing inventory, and ensuring strict health and safety standards. The candidate should also possess good knowledge of food products and their availability in order to plan cuisine accordingly. A head chef should have good organizing, supervising and time management skills to be able to oversee all the activities that take place in the kitchen in a proper manner. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and measure ingredients using precise knife skills and recipes. Cooking & Plating: Assist in cooking entrees, sides, and sauces, and ensure dishes are aesthetically plated before service. Hygiene & Sanitation: Clean and sanitize countertops, cutting boards, and cooking appliances. Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware. Inventory Management: Unpack food deliveries, stock storerooms, rotate ingredients, and report low supplies. Waste Management: Discard rubbish, clear leftovers, and maintain a safe, hazard-free workspace
