Job Summary We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join a leading international bank, supporting its Financial Markets and Group Treasury business across the Asia Pacific region. This 8-month contract role offers extensive regional exposure, working on complex derivatives, treasury and capital markets transactions, while partnering with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. Mandatory Skill-set Law degree with a common law background; Must have 6–10 years' PQE in financial markets legal practice; Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating ISDA Agreements, Credit Support Documents (CSA/CSD), repurchase agreements and securities lending agreements; Good knowledge of financial markets products and derivatives transactions; Experience advising on financial markets transactional and/or regulatory matters. Desired Skill-set Admission to a Commonwealth law jurisdiction preferred; Experience in regulatory implementation and/or notes issuance. Responsibilities Provide legal advisory support to the Financial Markets and Group Treasury businesses across the Asia Pacific region; Draft, review and negotiate financial markets documentation, including ISDA Agreements, Credit Support Documents, repurchase agreements, securities lending agreements, term sheets and trade confirmations; Review legal opinions and analyse applicable laws and regulatory requirements impacting financial markets activities; Advise stakeholders on local, regional and global legal and regulatory developments, and support regulatory implementation initiatives; Draft pricing supplements and review documentation relating to notes issuance under the bank's funding programmes; Partner closely with Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Operations and other internal stakeholders to support business initiatives; Liaise with external legal counsel on transactional matters and specialist legal advice; Collaborate with legal teams across global offices to ensure consistency in documentation, policy and best practices; Participate in regional and global legal projects to enhance documentation standards and legal processes.
