IT Support Engineer (Contract / Government Sector)

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our technology team. You will be responsible for providing L2/L3 application support, ensuring stability, availability, and performance of business-critical systems and applications. Working Hours: Mon-Fri Working Location: Central Salary Package: Up to $8,000(basic) + AWS Job Type: Contract Key Responsibilities Provide L2/L3 application support for production and non-production environments. Monitor application and infrastructure performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, infrastructure, and security incidents within agreed service levels. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimise recurring issues. Manage incident ,problem, and change management activities following ITSM best practices. Support system deployments, releases, and operational readiness activities. Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and support runbooks. Analyse operational metrics and prepare regular reports on system health, service performance, and improvement initiatives. Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. Participate in on-call support or after-hours maintenance activities when required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across applications and infrastructure. Experience with ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. ITIL Foundation or related certifications.
