Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (German Company - Jurong East)

A global technology company with a newly established Singapore R&D Competence Center focused on sensor technology and power electronics for industrial, energy, and green mobility applications. The team develops next-generation electronics and automation solutions serving global markets. Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities · Lead the mechanical design and development of industrial electronics and power electronics products from concept toproduction. · Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and product specifications using Siemens NX or similar CAD tools. · Collaborate closely with cross-functionalengineering teams on DFM/DFA, prototyping, testing, and product validation. · Drive prototype builds and product verification activities, including thermal analysis, 3D printing, and hands-on testing. · Work with global stakeholders, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and production-ready. Key Requirements · Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with at least 5 years of product design experience. · Strong background in mechanical design for electronics or industrial products, with solid GD&T knowledge. · Proficient in CAD tools such as Siemens NX, Creo, or equivalent 3D design software. · Experience with prototyping technologies, product testing, and engineering documentation/BOM management. · Exposure to FEA, industrial design, plastic molding, overmolding, or ultrasonic welding will be an added advantage.
