Key Responsibilities Procurement & Strategic Sourcing •Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives. •Lead and manage the daily operations of the procurement department. •Identify, evaluate and qualify new suppliers locally and internationally. •Build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers. •Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ISO standards, and statutory requirements. Vendor Management •Build and maintain a reliable network of local and overseas suppliers and subcontractors. •Qualify, appoint and periodically evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing and delivery performance. •Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and contractual terms. •Maintain an approved vendor list and supplier database. •Resolve supplier quality, delivery and commercial issues. Project Procurement •Work closely with Engineering and Project teams to understand project requirements. •Review engineering specifications and material requirements to ensure accurate and timely procurement. •Develop procurement schedules to support project timelines. •Monitor supplier production, shipment and delivery status. •Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to minimise project delays. Cost Control •Achieve annual procurement cost savings. •Analyse market trends and pricing. •Recommend alternative materials or suppliers without compromising quality. •Monitor procurement budgets and purchasing expenditure. Inventory & Logistics •Coordinate with Warehouse and Operations on inventory requirements. •Monitor stock levels of critical materials and spare parts. •Coordinate logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance and import/export documentation when required. Team Leadership •Lead and develop the procurement team. •Establish procurement KPIs and monitor performance. •Train and mentor procurement executives and buyers. •Promote continuous improvement within the procurement function. Requirements •Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline. •Minimum 8 years of procurement experience. •At least 3 years in a managerial role. •Experience in EPC, water treatment, environmental engineering, process engineering, industrial equipment, M&E or construction industries. •Experience managing international suppliers is preferred. •Knowledge of project procurement and contract management.
