About this role

The Senior Executive of Donor Engagement develops meaningful relationships with donors and prospective supporters to strengthen long-term engagement with the Society. The role actively supports donor acquisition, stewardship and fundraising initiatives while delivering positive supporter experiences through proactive relationship management, networking and collaboration. The role also ensures that all engagement activities are supported by accurate administration and sound governance practices. Key Responsibilities 1. Relationship Management and Stewardship Develop and manage a portfolio of donors by building on the trusted relationships, encouraging continued engagement and long-term support. Deliver personalised stewardship and recognition initiatives that strengthen supporter satisfaction and loyalty. Maintain regular communication with supporters, ensuring enquiries, commitments and requests are managed professionally and promptly. Represent the Society positively during donor meetings, programme visits and engagement activities. 2. Donor Acquisition and Portfolio Growth Proactively identify, cultivate and engage prospective supporters through networking, outreach and relationship-building activities. Identify opportunities to deepen supporter relationships through renewals, upgrades, referrals and new engagement opportunities. Support fundraising campaigns, donor events and engagement initiatives that contribute to the Society's fundraising objectives. 3. Engagement Delivery Coordinate donor meetings, programme visits experiences and engagement events that strengthen supporter relationships. Work closely with internal stakeholders to communicate programme impact and connect supporters meaningfully with the Society's mission. Support the successful delivery of fundraising and engagement events by ensuring positive experiences before, during and after each activity. 4. Governance and Administration Maintain accurate supporter records, engagement histories and portfolio information within the Society's relationship management system. Prepare correspondence, reports and documentation that support effective donor engagement and portfolio management. Ensure all engagement activities comply with organisational policies, safeguarding requirements, due diligence processes and fundraising regulations. Identify opportunities to improve supporter engagement processes while maintaining operational efficiency. Qualifications and Experience Postgraduate qualifications preferred. Relevant experience in fundraising or relationship management will be advantageous, particularly within the social service or non-profit sector. Experience engaging diverse stakeholders and building professional relationships. Familiarity with governance, compliance or fundraising regulations will be advantageous. Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Personal Attributes Compassionate, approachable and genuinely enjoys meeting and connecting with people.
