Assistant Restaurant Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager who sets the tone, champions exceptional service, and creates memorable guest experiences. In this role, you will support the Senior Restaurant Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, guiding the service team, and delivering consistently high standards of service. You will be hands-on on the floor, working with the team to create welcoming dining experiences for members and guests in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Support the Senior Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day management of restaurant operations to ensure smooth service delivery and positive member experiences. Assist in supervising service staff and coordinating daily service activities, manpower deployment, and floor operations. Support revenue and cost control initiatives, including upselling efforts and monitoring of food, beverage, and labour costs. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and the Club’s policies and procedures. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching of service staff to maintain service standards and team effectiveness. Support staff scheduling and roster planning to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours. Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards across the restaurant and take corrective action where necessary. Assist in reviewing sales, inventory, and manpower reports and highlight operational issues for follow-up. Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues where required. Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and support teams to ensure smooth service execution and product consistency. Participate in inventory checks, stock control, and operational audits as assigned. Support other operational duties as assigned by the HOD or Management. Requirements Diploma in Hospitality Management or GCE ‘O’ Level. At least 2 years of experience in the F&B industry, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity Well-groomed with a consistently professional appearance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with, motivate and lead the team. Positive and proactive attitude with a readiness to take initiative and motivate others. Calm and composed under pressure, maintaining focus to guide the team through busy and challenging situations. Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling is a plus.
