About the role We build software at the intersection of precision hardware and high-stakes production — control systems for semiconductor equipment, data analytics platforms that help fabs improve yield and process stability. Our clients include leading international OEMs and China's most ambitious domestic wafer manufacturers. As a Software Tech Lead, you will own both technical execution and practical project delivery for the team. You are expected to understand the software architecture, guide implementation decisions, support the development team technically, and also take responsibility for planning, progress tracking, risk follow-up, scope coordination, and client-facing communication. You will work closely with Software Architects, developers, and client stakeholders to ensure that complex semiconductor software projects are delivered with technical quality, realistic commitments, and clear alignment. What you'll do Internal — technical leadership and project delivery ownership Lead the technical breakdown of software requirements into clear implementation tasks, acceptance criteria, risks, and dependencies Guide software design and implementation decisions, ensuring alignment with architecture, maintainability, integration constraints, and delivery priorities Support developers in resolving technical issues, reviewing approaches, identifying root causes, and removing engineering blockers Own practical project management activities within the team, including delivery planning, task tracking, milestone follow-up, dependency management, risk escalation, and coordination of actions needed to meet commitments Build realistic technical delivery plans with the team, track progress against commitments, communicate status clearly, and adjust priorities when scope, risks, or dependencies change Maintain technical clarity through design notes, decision logs, interface assumptions, action items, and acceptance criteria External — technical communication, scope coordination, and stakeholder alignment Act as a technical counterpart for international OEM clients and domestic fab customers across the Asia region, especially during requirement clarification, integration discussions, and delivery reviews Translate technical constraints, design trade-offs, risks, and implementation progress into clear language for client stakeholders and project teams Lead scope, feasibility, schedule, and change-impact discussions from a technical delivery perspective, helping stakeholders understand realistic commitments, engineering trade-offs, priority choices, and risks Facilitate technical meetings, design reviews, issue triage sessions, and integration discussions while keeping decisions and follow-ups concrete Collaborate with Software Architects during pre-sales and project ramp-up to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and deliverable Job requirements Required 5+ years of software development experience, including experience leading technical delivery or guiding a small engineering team Solid software programming background, with the ability to read, discuss, and challenge software designs and implementation approaches Experience with software architecture, debugging, integration, code review, and technical decision-making in complex software systems Ability to understand technical details deeply enough to guide developers, identify risks, explain trade-offs, and align engineering work with delivery commitments Ability to manage practical project delivery activities s…
