Job Summary Manage end-to-end material take-off, procurement coordination, quantity verification, and commercial documentation to support SolarGy’s project execution by ensuring accurate quantity tracking, cost-effective sourcing, supplier coordination, and timely material delivery aligned with project requirements. Responsibilities Prepare and verify material take-offs / quantity take-offs based on project drawings, specifications, and project requirements for solar PV, electrical, and structural works. Review project drawings and documents to ensure accurate material quantities for procurement and project execution. Source, compare, and evaluate supplier quotations for PV components, electrical equipment, mounting structures, and related materials to support cost-effective purchasing decisions. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve competitive procurement outcomes. Prepare and administer Purchase Orders (POs), supplier comparisons, and procurement documentation in accordance with company procedures. Verify procured materials against approved specifications, quantities, and project requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy. Track material usage, delivery schedules, and quantity balances to ensure proper allocation and minimise shortages or over-ordering. Maintain accurate records of material quantities, procurement documents, supplier contracts, delivery orders, and invoices for traceability and audit purposes. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Operations teams to ensure material requirements are accurately captured and fulfilled according to project timelines. Monitor supplier performance on pricing, quality, and delivery reliability, resolving issues such as quantity discrepancies, delays, or defects. Support subcontractor and supplier claim verification by checking delivered quantities and supporting documents. Manage inventory records, material issuance, and loan stock reconciliation to ensure accountability and proper quantity tracking. Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time and in sequence with project schedules. Consolidate shipments and optimise procurement planning to reduce unnecessary costs, delays, and wastage. Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure smooth material flow from sourcing to site delivery. Preferred competencies and qualifications Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 1–3 years of experience in QS, material take-off, procurement, or project coordination roles Experience in construction, solar PV, electrical, façade, or metal works industries preferred Strong understanding of material take-off, quantity verification, supplier coordination, and procurement documentation Good negotiation and commercial awareness in supplier sourcing and purchasing Strong attention to detail in reviewing drawings, quantities, and procurement records Proficiency in AutoCAD reading, Excel, and quantity tracking tools preferred Effective communication and coordination skills to work with project teams, suppliers, and logistics partners Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and urgent requirements efficiently
