Role Summary • Acts as Delivery Lead for the Calculations & Models Workstream within the Programme • Accountable for delivery of regulatory calculations, models, and associated outputs into reporting • Responsible for managing scope, timelines, budget, and delivery outcomes, and coordinating across multiple teams • Plays a key role in joining up IT, Finance Change, Models, and Interpretation teams, as well as aligning with Data, Operating Model, and Reporting workstreams Workstream scope & objectives The role is responsible for overseeing delivery against the formal Calcs & Models objectives: • Delivery of regulatory calculations leveraging existing TWD modules • Development of SABRE GRACE calculation module (RWA / Capital calculations) • Development of FRAME platform for IRB models • Delivery of regulatory calculations using SAP Rise data inputs • Oversight of regulatory interpretations and their implementation Key Responsibilities Core accountabilities • Delivery ownership • Overall accountable for delivery of Calcs & Models outcomes • Manage scope, budget, timelines, RAG status, and Path to Green • Ensure delivery plans are maintained and aligned across teams Cross-functional coordination • Coordinate across: o SABRE IT o Finance Change / Capital Calculations o Finance IT / Data IT (including Fioneer where necessary - e.g. in Workshops) o Models / FRAME teams o Regulatory Interpretations o PwC (requirements support) • Ensure clear flow from regulatory rules → interpretations → requirements → build → testing → reporting Workstream Integration (critical) • Ensure Calcs & Models is fully integrated with Data, Operating Model and Reporting Workstream. • Proactively identify and manage cross-workstream dependencies (e.g. Interface design work) • C&M Working Group leadership • A central part of the role is running the fortnightly Calcs & Models Working Group, which acts as the primary coordination point. Purpose (summary of the Working Group material agreed in the inaugural meeting) • Monitor delivery, plans, budget, and outcomes across: o SABRE o FRAME (Models) o Interpretations • Coordinate delivery of requirements into: o Data platform o Calculation engines o Reporting outputs • Identify, manage, and escalate dependencies, risks, and issues Key areas of day-to-day role • At a high level, the role relies heavily on judgement, stakeholder management and proactive coordination. Below are some further thoughts on key areas of the day-to-day role. • Collaboration & Integration (Core Value Add) • Establish and maintain collaboration across historically siloed teams including: o SABRE IT o Finance Change / Finance IT • Bridge program silos (Data vs Calcs & Models vs Operating Model) • Ultimately, promote a single delivery mindset across differing operating models and cultures – a key challenge across areas used to operating in a different manner Workstream Leadership • Run core team forums (twice weekly) across: o Models (FRAME) o Capital Calculations o India PMs • Align approaches, identify synergies, and drive consistency across previously separate delivery streams End-to-end coordination • Manage dependencies across: o PwC (regulatory requirements / BRDs) o Interpretations (reg clarification) o Capital Change (FRDs) o IT teams (build & unit testing) • Ensure structured tracking of requirements through to implementation (e.g. recently instigated BRD and FRD additional tracking tools) Testing coordination support • Support testing manager ensure alignment across testing phases via helping to coordinate across: o SABRE IT o FRAME IT o Finance IT • Help bridge differences in testing approaches between teams Planning & cost management • Oversee integrated delivery plans across all contributing teams • Ensure cost tracking, forecasting, and CAPEX justification is in place • Work with PMO and team leads to maintain accuracy and transparency Functional management of PMs • Provide functional oversight and support to: o India PMs o Capital Calculations PMs o Models PMs Challenge and improve o Status reporting from PMs o Steering Committee material • Drive clarity on deliverables, ownership, and timelines • Particular current focus on: o Improving transparency of BRD / FRD status and promoting collaborat…
