Director, Building Structure

We are partnering with our client, a leading global engineering consultancy, to seek a seasoned leader to spearhead their high-rise and commercial building portfolio. Basic Salary: Up to $18,000 Benefits: $100 Mobile Allowance, Insurance, Dental, and Health-screening Job Responsibilities: Sector Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement the Property & Buildings sector strategy aligned with regional and global priorities Translate strategic goals into actionable business plans and growth initiatives Financial Performance & Governance Hold full P&L responsibility for the sector Oversee forecasting, cost control, revenue delivery, and margin optimisation Ensure strong governance and risk management across all projects and operations Project Delivery Accountable for the successful delivery of all sector projects across quality, schedule, safety, and client expectations Drive consistency in delivery standards and accountability across project teams Client Leadership & Business Development Lead senior client relationships and represent the sector with key stakeholders and industry partners Oversee the sector opportunity pipeline, bid strategy, and work-winning activities Promote cross-selling opportunities across disciplines and markets People & Organisational Leadership Lead talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement across the sector Hold leaders accountable for performance management and team development Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture Technical Governance Provide oversight of technical standards and assurance frameworks Act as Registered Qualified Person (QP) where required for statutory submissions Requirements: Degree in Civil & Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; postgraduate qualification preferred Registered Professional Engineer or equivalent professional registration At least 15 years of relevant experience in engineering or construction-related sectors Minimum 5 years in senior leadership roles (Technical Director level or equivalent) with P&L accountability Proven track record managing project portfolios and multi-disciplinary teams Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and business development capabilities Sound knowledge of industry regulations and statutory requirements in the built environment Interested candidates are invited to send your CV in confidence to our recruitment team.
