Key Responsibilities Carry out installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of marine navigation, communication, and electronic equipment onboard commercial vessels, offshore vessels, and marine installations. Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment operates reliably and complies with industry standards. Identify technical faults using appropriate testing equipment and recommend effective repair solutions to minimise vessel downtime. Respond to onboard service calls at ports, shipyards, customer premises, and offshore locations within Singapore and overseas when required. Compile accurate service reports, maintenance records, inspection findings, and technical documentation after each service assignment. Offer technical support, operational guidance, and basic user training to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of marine equipment. Liaise with the service team, technical support, logistics personnel, and customers to ensure timely completion of installation and repair activities. Uphold workplace safety regulations, quality standards, manufacturer guidelines, and international maritime requirements across all work performed. Assist in equipment commissioning, Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT) , sea trials, retrofit projects, and new vessel deliveries when required. Extend excellent customer service by responding promptly to technical issues, maintaining professional relationships with vessel owners, ship managers, shipyards, and other stakeholders. Requirements Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 2 years of experience in servicing, installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintaining maritime equipment, such as navigation systems, communication equipment, automation systems, electrical or electronic systems, propulsion controls, safety equipment, or other shipboard technical equipment. Candidates with relevant marine service experience from any maritime equipment background are encouraged to apply. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Willing to work onboard vessels, travel locally and overseas, and respond to occasional after-hours emergency service calls.
