Senior / Tooling Engineer

Job Summary You will manage mold design and manufacturing processes to ensure robust tooling, coordinate mold trials, and drive tool improvements to meet quality and schedule commitments. Responsibilities Participate in mold design development by reviewing part designs to ensure compliance with standards and robust tool production Conduct tool improvement reviews to establish key milestones and assign responsibilities for design, manufacturing, mold trials, and qualification Monitor, track, and report tool progress to program managers and engineers to ensure adherence to committed schedules Manage and implement engineering changes to tooling effectively Coordinate mold trial activities, actively participating to validate molds and ancillary tooling accurately Lead post-mold trial meetings, prepare review documentation, and recommend tooling improvements to shorten qualification timelines Collaborate with QA personnel to study First Article Inspection (FAI) results and coordinate necessary tool adjustments Inspect and evaluate transfer tools, providing recommendations for improvements Ensure all processes comply with the Company’s ISO Quality System and procedures Liaise with and manage subcontractors for outsourced mold projects Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and operational goals Required competencies and certifications Diploma in Mechanical or Precision Engineering or equivalent 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in mold design and manufacturing Knowledge of project management and manufacturing processes essential for tooling projects Proficiency in mold design, fabrication, and molding processes
