Job Summary The Draftsman – Offshore T&I will be responsible for producing detailed engineering drawings and design deliverables supporting the transportation, load-out, sea-fastening, and installation of offshore structures such as jackets, topsides, modules, subsea structures, and pipelines. The role requires close coordination with T&I engineers, marine warranty surveyors, and fabrication yards to ensure drawings meet project specifications, classification society requirements, and offshore industry standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings for load-out, transportation, sea-fastening, lifting, and installation of offshore structures (jackets, topsides, modules, decks, piles, subsea equipment). Develop rigging arrangement drawings, padeye details, spreader bar/frame drawings, and grillage/sea-fastening layouts based on engineering calculations. Produce barge and vessel deck layout drawings, including ballast arrangement references and stability-related sketches as directed by engineers. Prepare skidding, jacking, and float-over arrangement drawings where applicable. Generate as-built drawings and redlines based on site markups and fabrication feedback. Coordinate with structural, naval architecture, and marine engineering teams to incorporate design changes accurately. Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and ensure all drawings comply with company and client drafting standards. Support preparation of installation procedures, method statements, and technical drawing packages for marine warranty survey (MWS) approval. Liaise with fabrication yards and site teams to resolve drafting queries during construction and load-out phases. Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., DNV, ABS, Noble Denton/MWS guidelines, client specifications). Participate in design reviews and provide drafting support during HAZID/HAZOP or engineering review meetings, as required. Required Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Structural/Naval Architecture Engineering, Drafting, or related technical field. Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in offshore oil & gas, marine, or heavy lift/T&I projects. Proven experience producing sea-fastening, rigging, and load-out drawings for offshore structures. Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D); experience with Tekla, SP3D, PDMS, or similar 3D modeling tools is an advantage. Familiarity with structural steel detailing and marine/offshore drafting conventions. Working knowledge of offshore T&I engineering principles: lifting, transportation, sea-fastening, and installation methods. Ability to interpret structural calculations and engineering sketches to produce accurate detailed drawings. Understanding of classification society and marine warranty survey (MWS) drawing requirements (DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, etc.). Competent in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for drawing registers and documentation control. Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy under project deadlines. Good communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple drawing packages simultaneously. Willingness to travel to fabrication yards or site locations as required. Preferred (Nice to Have) Prior experience with float-over, skidding, or jacking system drawings. Exposure to subsea structure or pipeline installation drafting. Experience working directly with Marine Warranty Surveyors (MWS) during document approval cycles. Familiarity with rigging/lifting equipment certification and load calculations. Work Environment Primarily office/engineering environment with occasional site or fabrication yard visits during load-out and installation campaigns. May require extended hours during critical project milestones (load-out, sail-away, installation windows).
