Software Development Manager

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our engineering team in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strategic planning to ensure successful project execution and continuous improvement of development processes. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from planning to deployment and maintenance Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables Ensure high-quality code through best practices, code reviews, and testing standards Drive architectural decisions and ensure scalability, performance, and security of systems Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and support career development Manage project risks, dependencies, and resource allocation effectively Implement and improve Agile/Scrum practices and development processes Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget and scope Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field Proven experience in software development with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role Strong programming background (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or similar) Experience with system design, architecture, and scalable distributed systems Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders Preferred Skills Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design Experience with performance optimization and system reliability Background in data-drive…
