About this role
Responsibilities: Develop new business opportunities and manage key customer accounts to achieve sales and revenue targets. Drive 50% new business development and 50% key account management within the freight forwarding and logistics sector to support revenue growth and long-term partnerships. Handle cross-trade shipments for Singapore operations, coordinating with overseas agents and network partners when required. Prepare quotations, RFQs, and tender proposals, including freight rate reviews and pricing strategies. Develop SOPs and operational terms & conditions, ensuring internal approvals prior to customer submission. Maintain strong relationships with shipping carriers, co-loaders, and logistics partners to ensure service reliability and competitive pricing. Achieve and exceed sales targets by driving revenue growth and gross profit contribution. Monitor and report sales pipeline, business opportunities, and KPIs to management regularly. Work closely with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements. Identify and convert new business leads into revenue-generating accounts. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and business development progress. Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in sales within freight forwarding, 3PL, distribution, or warehousing industries. Proven track record in business development and/or key account management. Self-driven, independent, and results-oriented with strong planning and execution skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present logistics solutions effectively. Strong understanding of customer requirements and ability to propose suitable logistics solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for presentations and proposals.
