Safety Officer

Location: Bedok Employment Type: Full-time, site-based Start Date: Immediate or as per project schedule 🔍 Role Summary We are seeking a full-time WSHO who also holds a valid Environmental Control Officer (ECO) certification , to oversee safety and environmental compliance for a public sector construction project. This dual-role position ensures streamlined site operations and full regulatory coverage under the WSH Act , WSH (Construction) Regulations 2007 , and Environmental Public Health Act . Key Responsibilities Workplace Safety & Health (WSHO): Implement and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) Conduct safety inspections and rectify unsafe practices or conditions Promote safe work conduct and ensure compliance with WSH legislation Be stationed full-time on site throughout the construction period Must have completed the Design for Safety Appreciation Course (MOM-accredited) Environmental Control (ECO): Monitor and advise on vector control, pollution mitigation, and site housekeeping Conduct regular site checks to ensure hygiene and prevent mosquito/rodent breeding Possess a valid Certificate of Competency in Earth Control Measures (ECM) Compile and submit environmental data (e.g. water/diesel usage, debris volume) Maintain records of NEA/PUB inspections and submit to SO’s Rep upon request Requirements MOM-registered WSHO with valid practicing certificate Completed Design for Safety Appreciation Course Holds ECO certification and CoC in Earth Control Measures (ECM) Prior experience in public sector or HDB projects preferred Strong site coordination and reporting skills What We Offer Competitive salary package Opportunity to lead safety and environmental compliance for a high-impact project Supportive team and clear operational structure
