Position Overview: We are seeking a Production Manager to lead and oversee the end-to-end production of our underwater robotic systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, inventory management, quality assurance, supplier coordination, and ensuring products are manufactured efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Operations Plan, schedule, and oversee the production and assembly of robotic systems Ensure production targets, delivery schedules, and quality standards are consistently achieved Optimize production workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness Monitor production progress and proactively resolve bottlenecks Oversee component installation, assembly and wiring Inventory & Supply Chain Management Manage inventory levels for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components Coordinate procurement activities with suppliers to ensure timely material availability Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock replenishment Work closely with vendors to ensure quality, pricing, and delivery requirements are met Quality Assurance Establish and maintain production quality standards and inspection procedures Ensure products are assembled, tested, and documented according to company standards Investigate production issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives Monitor production metrics and prepare regular performance reports Team Management Supervise and coordinate production technicians and assembly personnel Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently Train new team members on assembly procedures, quality standards, and safety practices Foster a collaborative and continuous improvement culture within the production team Documentation & Process Improvement Maintain production records, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and enhance product quality Collaborate closely with the Engineering and R&D teams to support design improvements and new product introductions Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field. Technical Skills: The following are preferred: Experience managing manufacturing or production operations Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and quality control Experience coordinating with suppliers and procurement activities Familiarity with mechanical and electrical assembly processes Ability to interpret engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOM) Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus Soft Skills Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and planning abilities Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and operational excellence Why Join Aliciabots?
