Position Overview: The Service Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, support, training, and operational deployment of our underwater robotic systems onboard vessels while serving as the primary point of contact for assigned customers. This role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management and requires frequent interaction with ship owners, fleet managers, vessel operators, and ship crews. The successful candidate will ensure reliable robot performance, provide technical support and training, manage customer accounts, and contribute to long-term customer satisfaction and business growth. When not engaged in field activities, the candidate will support remote robot operations and technical assistance. The position involves frequent international travel and hands-on work in maritime environments. Key Responsibilities: Servicing & Maintenance Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades of underwater robotic systems onboard vessels Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues Replace worn or damaged components and ensure service readiness of equipment Support robot deployments and operational activities at ports, shipyards, and onboard vessels Ensure robotic systems operate safely, efficiently, and according to company standards Inspection & Performance Assessment Conduct inspections to verify the mechanical, electrical, and software integrity of robotic systems Assess cleaning performance and operational efficiency Prepare inspection reports with recommendations for preventive maintenance and improvements Identify recurring technical issues and provide feedback to the engineering team Crew Training & Technical Support Train ship crews and customer personnel on robot operation and basic maintenance Conduct onboard demonstrations and practical training sessions Provide technical guidance during deployments and operational use Build positive working relationships with vessel personnel to ensure successful adoption of company solutions Account Management & Customer Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts Build and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, fleet managers, technical managers, and vessel operators Understand customer operational requirements and recommend suitable technical and service solutions Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve technical and operational issues Support service agreement renewals and identify opportunities for additional deployments and long-term partnerships Collect customer feedback and market insights to support product development and business improvements Demonstrations & Business Support Conduct robotic cleaning demonstrations and vessel performance inspections Represent Aliciabots during customer meetings, vessel visits, exhibitions, and industry events Support technical presentations, customer evaluations, and business development activities Reporting & Documentation Prepare detailed service reports, inspection findings, maintenance records, and recommendations Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, technical issues, and operational outcomes Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards Collaboration Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, and Business Development teams Provide field feedback to improve product reliability, performance, and customer experience Support continuous improvement of operational procedures and best practices International Travel Travel internationally to customer locations, ports, shipyards, and vessels as required Respond to service interventions, deployments, inspections, demonstrations, and training assignments Represent the company professionally while maintaining the highest standards of customer service Technical Skills: The following are preferred: Experience managing manufacturing or production operations Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and quality control E…
