About this role
Responsibilities: Develop and implement proactive strategies to optimize room bookings, F&B venues, and conference space utilization to meet revenue targets. Contribute to the overall sales strategy, ensuring alignment across departments and maintaining high-quality standards. Conduct competitive market analysis and implement strategies to keep the hotel competitive. Mentor and guide the Sales Team, promoting proactive sales techniques and high-quality standards. Respond to and convert incoming inquiries into successful revenue-generating opportunities. Manage group RFPs, prepare tailored proposals, present to clients, and negotiate to close sales. Maintain accurate data entry for group and meeting inquiries using Delphi FDC. Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering customized solutions. Conduct client briefings, meetings, and property tours to showcase the hotel's offerings. Make sales and telemarketing calls to engage prospective clients and secure business. Host potential clients during site inspections and entertainment activities, when appropriate. Collaborate with hotel operations and other departments to maximize revenue opportunities. Prepare and submit weekly sales activity plans and reports to the Director of Sales. Represent the hotel at trade fairs, industry events, and workshops in collaboration with the Director of Sales and Business Development. Coach and train team members, conducting performance assessments as needed. Support the Director of Sales and Commercial Director with other delegated tasks. Requirement: Proven experience in hotel sales, particularly in the MICE sector. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategies.
