Position Summary The Lead Program Engineer is responsible for managing customer programs from enquiry through production and delivery, while providing engineering expertise to support successful project execution. Acting as the primary technical interface between customers and cross-functional teams, the role ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements, project objectives, and company quality standards. The Lead Program Engineer also supports business development activities, identifies new business opportunities, and provides technical and commercial leadership throughout the program lifecycle. Responsibilities: Lead and provide technical guidance to the Engineering Team Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on all program-related matters, including enquiries, quotations, engineering changes, schedules, and issues resolution Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans covering scope, milestones, timelines, resources, budgets, and risk mitigation activities Lead cross-functional coordination among Engineering, Production, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to achieve program objectives Coordinate and support New Product Introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and production transfer activities to ensure smooth product launch Monitor program costs, support cost estimation and pricing reviews, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery targets. Drive Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives by analysing program performance, optimising manufacturing processes, improving yield, enhancing product quality, and implementing corrective and preventive actions arising from customer feedback, audits, and quality issues Coordinate First Article Inspection(FAI), qualification activities, customer approvals, and ensure proper control and update of engineering documents Maintain program documentation including work instructions, process specifications and technical records while ensuring compliance with ISO quality systems and customer requirements Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Program/Project or Engineering Management, preferably within manufacturing environment Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently Experience managing international customers and suppliers Experience leading an engineering team, with the ability to provide technical direction and drive engineering execution Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, New Product Introduction (NPI) and production operations Strong project management, planning and organisational skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), RF/Microwave, precision engineering or related industries will be an advantage Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems will be an advantage
