Phlebotomist (Part-Time)

Job Summary Perform safe and accurate venipuncture to collect blood specimens, ensuring patient safety and specimen integrity in a rehabilitative care setting. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens safely, accurately, and efficiently from patients Verify patient identity to ensure correct specimen labeling and maintain specimen integrity Dispatch specimens to the laboratory promptly while following infection-control and patient-safety protocols Monitor and maintain availability, expiry, and condition of phlebotomy equipment and consumables Communicate empathetically and patiently with patients to provide a positive experience during specimen collection Work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team to meet operational demands Organize work tasks meticulously to handle high specimen volumes while maintaining composure and resilience Required Competencies and Qualifications Recognised certification in Phlebotomy, or a Certificate in Nursing with documented phlebotomy competency At least 2 years of relevant working experience as a phlebotomist Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage patients with empathy and patience Highly organised and meticulous work habits Ability to remain resilient and composed under high-volume conditions Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to work from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 1 pm
