About this role

The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with our strategic customers. This role focuses on maximizing sales opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving market share growth within assigned key accounts. Job Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for assigned key accounts, aligning with the company's strategic objectives. Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations. Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned accounts. Negotiate and manage complex contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements. Proactively identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions utilizing BD's product portfolio. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., marketing, technical support, supply chain) to ensure seamless customer experience and service delivery. Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback to inform account strategies. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to key stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts in the CRM system. Provide regular reports on account performance, market opportunities, and challenges to management. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in key account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry. Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to travel as required.
