Structural Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time Work Location: Fully Remote (Philippines-based) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer based in the Philippines to provide engineering support for commercial and architectural projects across multiple international markets. This role is part of the company's regional engineering team and supports project delivery, design coordination, technical reviews, and engineering documentation for overseas projects. Due to the nature of the projects and the need to support regional operations across various jurisdictions and time zones, the role is designed as a remote position based in the Philippines. Key Responsibilities ● Perform structural analysis and design for commercial, retail, hospitality, office, and mixed-use developments. ● Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, design documentation, and engineering submissions. ● Review and coordinate structural designs with architectural, interior design, façade, and MEP disciplines. ● Conduct technical reviews of design drawings, specifications, and project documentation. ● Assist project teams in resolving structural and construction-related technical issues. ● Review shop drawings, construction drawings, and fabrication details for compliance with project requirements. ● Participate in virtual design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders. ● Support value engineering initiatives to optimize design, cost, and constructability. ● Ensure engineering deliverables comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. ● Monitor design changes and maintain accurate engineering records throughout project execution. ● Provide technical support during tender, construction, and project completion stages. Requirements ● Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. ● Minimum 5 years of relevant structural engineering experience in commercial, architectural, hospitality, retail, or mixed-use developments. ● Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and building structural systems. ● Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent. ● Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows is advantageous. ● Familiarity with international engineering standards and building codes. ● Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. ● Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. ● Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple project assignments. ● Experience supporting international projects and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams is preferred. Preferred Qualifications ● Licensed Civil Engineer in the Philippines. ● Experience supporting projects in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, or other international markets. ● Knowledge of BIM coordination and digital collaboration platforms. ● Experience in architectural, façade, interior fit-out, or specialty structural works will be an advantage.
