Join our newest pre-opening concept in Dempsey Hill as our General Manager. Inspired by contemporary Asian dining and rooted in premium Chinese ingredients, this casual upscale destination offers an immersive experience across lush indoor and outdoor spaces, where thoughtful hospitality, exceptional food, and warm service come together. As General Manager, you will lead the team, drive financial performance, oversee food and beverage service, and ensure operational excellence across every aspect of the guest experience. This is an opportunity to build a flagship restaurant from the ground up and play a key role in one of Ebb & Flow Group’s most exciting openings. What You’ll Be Doing Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring seamless execution across front-of-house, bar, and service teams. Take full ownership of the outlet’s financial performance, including revenue growth, labour productivity, food and beverage costs, and overall profitability. Manage the restaurant’s P&L, budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting while implementing strategies to maximise operational efficiency and commercial performance. Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, guest satisfaction, and cost management. Ensure exceptional service standards are consistently delivered while creating memorable guest experiences. Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and front-of-house operations. Oversee food and beverage service standards, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and hospitality. Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management for all front-of-house team members. Build a strong leadership culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous development. Develop staffing plans and manage labour scheduling to optimise productivity while maintaining service excellence. Establish and maintain operational SOPs, service standards, and quality assurance processes. Manage inventory controls, purchasing, stock management, and supplier relationships to minimise waste and achieve cost targets. Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, hygiene, licensing, and regulatory requirements. Partner with the marketing and events teams to support promotional initiatives, community engagement, and guest loyalty. Lead all pre-opening activities, including recruitment, training, operational setup, service rehearsals, and opening readiness. Collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvements and contribute to future expansion projects across the group. We’re Looking for Someone Who Has proven experience as a General Manager or Restaurant Manager within premium, upscale, or lifestyle dining concepts. Has strong pre-opening experience and enjoys building teams, systems, and culture from the ground up. Demonstrates strong commercial acumen with extensive experience managing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, labour costs, and operational expenses. Has a thorough understanding of restaurant operations across both food and beverage service. Is passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. Leads with confidence, integrity, and professionalism while inspiring high-performing teams. Excels at coaching, mentoring, and developing future leaders. Is highly organised, solutions-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Has excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Shares a passion for modern hospitality, innovation, and operational excellence.
