About this role
Key Responsibilities Provide operational and marine support to Masters and vessel crews to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations. Ensure assigned vessels comply with company policies, international maritime regulations, and industry best practices. Conduct regular vessel visits, marine inspections, internal audits, and follow up on corrective actions. Monitor navigational standards, bridge procedures, and voyage planning to ensure operational excellence. Support Masters in the planning and execution of heavy lift, breakbulk, and project cargo operations . Review cargo securing, lifting plans, and operational risk assessments for complex cargo movements. Investigate marine incidents, accidents, near misses, and non-conformities, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. Prepare vessels for flag state, port state, customer, and third-party inspections. Monitor vessel performance, terminal feedback, observations, and operational KPIs. Identify crew training needs and provide guidance to enhance navigational safety and cargo handling standards. Work closely with Technical, Crewing, HSQE, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth vessel operations. Contribute to the continual improvement of the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and operational procedures. Requirements Master Mariner (Class 1 COC) with at least 2 years of sailing experience as Master . Proven experience sailing on Heavy Lift / Multi-Purpose (MPP) vessels is essential. Strong knowledge of heavy lift operations, breakbulk cargoes, project cargo transportation, cargo securing, and lifting operations. Sound understanding of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, STCW, and other international maritime regulations. Experience conducting marine inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments. Familiarity with charter party requirements and commercial vessel operations. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Able to travel onboard vessels when required.
