System Administrator

Job Summary The system administrator collaborates with IT and other departments to ensure robust, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure supporting business operations. Responsibilities Design and maintain server and network infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and security across all systems Monitor system performance continuously and implement upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT assets and data integrity Manage backup solutions and develop disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity Collaborate with other departments to assess and support their technology requirements effectively Qualifications Diploma or Degree in computer engineering or related field Experience managing Linux systems Experience building and managing medium to large compute clusters in academic or industrial settings Knowledge of high-performance networking and data storage technologies Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices Effective communication and decision-making skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on continuous improvement
