About this role

Our client is a leading provider of maritime technology and digital solutions. As part of its continued growth strategy, the company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition and expand relationships within the chartering and commodity trading sectors. This is a strategic, customer-facing role focused on developing commercial opportunities with charterers, commodity traders, energy companies, and other key stakeholders across the maritime ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Growth Strategy Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the chartering, commodity trading, and energy sectors. Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion. Build robust commercial business cases and go-to-market strategies to support growth initiatives. Leverage CRM systems, market intelligence, and data analytics to identify opportunities and support decision-making. Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and achieve short- and medium-term commercial objectives. Sales & Customer Acquisition: Drive new customer acquisition through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building. Understand customer challenges and position solutions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are progressed effectively through the sales cycle. Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations with senior stakeholders. Ensure seamless customer onboarding and transition to internal account management and operations teams. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline. Experienced in business development, enterprise sales, or commercial roles.
