Assistant Trader [Ferrous Raw Materials]

[Job ID: 1625502] Responsibilities: Perform trading activities for ferrous raw materials, including sales and marketing functions. Manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities. Coordinate with clients, overseas offices, and headquarters on daily operational matters. Handle order processing, shipment coordination, and logistics arrangements to ensure smooth execution. Monitor and manage customer credit lines and inventory risks effectively. Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable and payable. Host and manage visits from overseas clients to ensure positive engagement and relationship building. Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in sales; experience in trading or non-ferrous sectors is an added advantage. Strong interest in trading and willingness to learn commodity and metals trading. Understanding of finance and accounting concepts, including shipping processes and trade payment methods. Willingness to travel for business purposes on a regular basis. Proficiency in Mandarin language to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders. Experience in commodity trading, particularly in metals, is an added advantage. Possession of a valid driver’s licence is an added advantage.
