Core Responsibilities Supply Chain Synchronization: Aligning high-speed printing press outputs with transportation schedules (trucking, fleets, dispatch) to prevent logistical bottlenecks. System Integration: Managing or developing logistics IT systems that track newspaper bundles from printing to last-mile delivery and distribution centers. Route Optimization: Analyzing and updating delivery routes and fleet schedules to maximize fuel efficiency and meet strict morning delivery deadlines. Stakeholder Coordination: Acting as the central point of contact between printing plants, transport vendors, and distribution agents. Risk & Issue Resolution: Rapidly addressing disruptions such as mechanical failures, traffic delays, or supply shortages by rerouting shipments on the fly. Key Skills & Qualifications Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of freight, fleet management, and distribution networks. IT & Data Literacy: Proficiency in Logistics Management Software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
