Quantity Surveyor (3-Month Contract – Maternity Cover)

Job Description We are looking for a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a 3-month contract to provide maternity cover. The successful candidate should be able to commence work immediately or within a short notice period. Key Responsibilities Prepare and evaluate project cost estimates, budgets, and cost reports. Handle subcontractor sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and award recommendations. Prepare subcontract documents, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts. Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures are within the approved budget. Verify subcontractors' and suppliers' claims and process payment recommendations. Liaise with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on commercial matters. Maintain proper documentation and records related to contracts and project costs. Perform other quantity surveying duties as assigned. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant QS experience in the construction industry. Familiar with contract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts. Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
