About the Role As a Key Account Manager, you are not just managing relationships; you are the strategic architect of growth within our most critical client portfolios. You will act as the bridge between our clients' complex supply chain needs and our global network of integrated logistics solutions. Your primary mission is to transform assigned accounts into long-term, profitable partnerships by deeply understanding their business challenges and positioning our organization as an indispensable partner. You will drive revenue expansion, lead cross-functional teams, and shape the commercial strategy for your portfolio at a country level while aligning with regional and global objectives. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Sales & Portfolio Growth Formulate Strategy: Define and implement the comprehensive sales strategy for your assigned Key Account portfolio to achieve aggressive growth objectives. Drive Penetration: Architect and execute plans to expand our wallet share by introducing our full suite of services (Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, Supply Chain Optimization) across the client's subsidiaries and affiliates. Cross-Selling Leadership: Champion cross-selling initiatives within the country, ensuring that all business units are aligned and leveraged to meet client needs. 2. Account Management & Relationship Development Build Trusted Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders—from influencers and gatekeepers to C-suite decision-makers—to ensure high retention, satisfaction, and loyalty. Consultative Solutioning: Deploy a rigorous consultative selling approach to diagnose client supply chain pain points and co-create innovative, value-driven solutions that increase operational efficiency for the client and drive revenue growth. Ensure Service Excellence: Proactively manage all account issues using continuous improvement principles (e.g., PDCA, Lean). Anticipate potential disruptions and resolve challenges swiftly to enhance service levels and exceed client expectations. Monitor Satisfaction: Systematically gather and act upon formal client feedback and surveys to continuously refine our service delivery. Global Coordination: When assigned as the lead country contact, take full ownership of the customer engagement strategy and coordinate all commercial matters with regional and global Key Account Managers to ensure a seamless, unified client experience. 3. New Business Development Uncover Opportunities: Proactively identify and target new business opportunities within your existing portfolio, developing customized value propositions and compelling business cases. Drive Revenue Targets: Take ownership of your new business revenue targets, which will be set annually, and develop a clear roadmap to achieve and exceed them. Showcase Innovation: Lead or support high-impact presentations to clients and prospects, demonstrating best practices and innovative solutions developed within your accounts to inspire confidence and close deals. Collaborate on Offerings: Partner with internal product teams and stakeholders to standardize successful custom solutions, turning them into scalable offerings that can be deployed across the wider client base. Qualifications & Experience Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a senior Key Account Management or strategic sales role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry. Industry Expertise: Deep, proven knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management, with a strong understanding of integrated logistics solutions. Sales Acumen: Expert-level proficiency in consultative selling, negotiation, and understanding customer psychology and purchasing patterns. Communication: Excellent command of spoken and written English. Fluency in the local language is required, with additional languages considered a strong asset. Presentation Skills: Confident and polished presentation skills; comfortable presenting to groups of 2-3 decision-makers, as well as larger executive audiences. Digital Proficiency: Highly proficient in core business applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Ability to leverage CRM tools and data analytics to drive decision-making is a plus.
