Site Engineer (Construction / Steel & Architectural Metal Works)

Job Description The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring works are carried out according to project specifications, safety standards, and schedule requirements. The candidate should possess a Civil Engineering background with experience in structural steel and architectural metal works. Job Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and construction works. Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications. Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel. Assist in planning work schedules, manpower deployment, and material coordination. Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical details before execution. Supervise installation and fabrication works related to: Structural steel works Architectural metal works Railings and balustrades Cladding and façade system Canopies and custom metal installations Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship. Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and company safety procedures. Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and inspections. Prepare site reports, progress updates, and documentation. Resolve site coordination and technical issues promptly. Monitor material deliveries and subcontractor performance. Job Requirements Education & Qualification Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Experience Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant site engineering experience in the construction industry. Experience in structural steel works and architectural metal works is required. Experience in site supervision and coordination is preferred. Technical Skills Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings. Familiarity with construction methodologies and site coordination processes. Competencies Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities. Able to work independently and under pressure. Good organizational and time management skill. Preferred Requirements Familiarity with Singapore construction standards and authority requirements. Experience in commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects is advantageous. Knowledge of BIM/Revit coordination is an added advantage. Possession of Class 3 driving licence is beneficial.
