About this role
You are responsible for managing a range of operational duties and overseeing enforcement actions and case management. You will also review the existing penalty framework to assess its effectiveness, consistency, and alignment with policy objectives. - Serve as the primary point of contact on a rotational shift basis, manning the 24-hour Duty Operations Phone, managing walk-in cases involving self-surrendering offenders, and overseeing their statement taking and deployment of cases. - Manage cases requiring referral to the police station, including conducting body searches, applying handcuffs, and escorting offenders to the police station. - Manage day-to-day statement taking, ensuring that all enquiries, tracing efforts, house visits, and follow-ups meet the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while maintaining accurate case documentation admissible for legal proceedings. - Maintain a portfolio of cases, gather and document case facts accurately, and put up appropriate recommendations aligned with the penalty framework to safeguard the integrity of enforcement actions. - Act as a key liaison between the Investigation Section and internal and external stakeholders - Ensure all responses to all cases meet the established Service Level Agreement (SLA). Challenge(s) - Encountering and dealing with hostile, emotionally distressed, or uncooperative individuals, including offenders' family and friends, requiring proficiency in self-defence and control tactics to manage resistance or violence effectively. - Assessing information provided by offenders which could be inconsistent, requiring prompt reaction and the asking of probing questions to ensure a complete, accurate, and defensible statement record. - Education in any discipline. - At least 2 years of relevant experience in enforcement, investigations, or a related field. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess information objectively and make sound recommendations. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage difficult or sensitive situations with composure. Proficiency in self-defence and control tactics, or willingness to undergo the necessary training. This role requires rotational shift work, including nights and weekends, to support 24-hour operations. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
