The Smart Nation Group – Digital Government (SNDG), under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and administratively managed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), plans and prioritizes key Smart Nation and digital government projects, raises the standards of Government ICT and services, builds long-term capabilities for the public sector, and promotes adoption and participation in digital and smart innovations. It takes a whole-of-nation effort, and we will actively engage the public, the industry and fellow agencies as we build a Smart Nation together. The position is under the Strategy, Policy and Resourcing Division of Smart Nation Group, As Manager/Senior Manager (Strategy), you will play a pivotal role in shaping Singapore's digital future. Your responsibilities will include: 1) Policy Development and Implementation: • Formulate and implement policies to enhance digital product development across government agencies • Develop frameworks for responsible technology adoption and risk management in digitalisation • Analyse emerging technological trends and their policy implications 2) Strategic Planning and Implementation: • Contribute to the implementation of the Digital Government Blueprint • Support digitalisation planning and implementation for ministries across the Government • Design and participate in SNDG's work planning and strategic planning cycles 3) Cross-Agency Collaboration: • Work closely with other Centre-of-Government agencies to support Public Sector Transformation • Identify cross-agency synergies and central enablers for digitalisation • Engage with a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders 4) Performance Tracking and Analytics: • Develop processes to support digitalisation planning and implementation across ministries • Contribute to growing the analytics function within SNDG to track digitalisation outcomes • Monitor and evaluate the performance of digital transformation initiatives We are seeking a dynamic, adaptable professional with: • At least 3-5 years of experience in technology policy, public policy, strategic planning, or a related field • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and writing skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders • Ability to present recommendations to senior management effectively • Understanding of tech trends and their societal and regulatory implications • Experience in product management or developing digital products is advantageous [Personal Traits] • Being comfortable with accepting and responding to changes, amidst pressing deadlines. • Strong sense of ownership of outcomes, and confidence to assess and express one’s own view on how to drive these outcomes, and identification with the Smart Nation Vision. • Analytical, with good critical thinking and an eye for details. • Curious, willing to build up ICT knowledge and keep up with technological trends. • Being adept at prioritising and managing between multiple workstreams.
