About this role
You will be part of a team that conducts in-depth research and analysis on public opinion trends in Singapore to inform government policy and improve government communications. Your research will focus on key socio-economic issues including employment, cost of living, financial and retirement adequacy, the impact of AI and technology on the workforce, and other concerns affecting citizens and businesses. As Assistant Manager/ Manager/ Senior Manager, you will be required to develop partnerships with key agencies, identify policy and communications gaps, and design evidence-based, data-driven research approaches to inform relevant stakeholders on suitable interventions. To succeed in this role, you will need a broad understanding of Government’s policies and be able to engage stakeholders across Whole-of-Government. You will also need to have an objective and evaluative mind to provide rational perspectives on public policy issues and effectively tap into a range of research tools. What you will be working on: • Conducting research studies – from conceptualisation (identification of issues of relevance and design of study) to analysis and reporting. • Preparing research reports to advise senior management on key policy, programme and communications interventions to strengthen various aspects of the economic and business landscape. • Engaging and developing partnerships with relevant agencies to inform policy making and strengthen Whole-of-Government public communication. • Good degree from a recognised university in Communication Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics and other related disciplines • Knowledge and understanding of fundamental statistics and research methods • Proficiency in statistical software(SPSS preferred) is required. Familiarity with programming software (e.g. Python or R) and data visualisation is a bonus. • Strong observational and analytical capabilities • Able to exercise initiative and work independently • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Interest in communications and public policy issues • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.
