About this role
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about shaping frameworks and developing measures to build a safe and trusted online space in Singapore. If this resonates with you, we invite you to join us on a meaningful and impactful journey to design and review policies to address online harms and misinformation. 1. Review and formulate policies and legislation on the fast-moving online content regulation space. 2. Research and develop an understanding of the information policy ecosystem both locally and internationally, including recent regulatory developments/actions against technology and their responses, and the implications for Singapore. 3. Address cross-disciplinary content regulation issues that intersect with media, technology, policy, law and industry, amidst evolving societal concerns and technological changes. 4. Collaborate and build partnerships with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), as well as Ministries and agencies across the whole of Government to jointly tackle cross-cutting issues. • Background in media, law or public policy and/or experience in commercial media/technology companies would be advantageous, but is not necessary • Experience with project management • Excellent writing skills • Excellent critical thinking skills and mental agility • Comfortable adapting to and dealing with ambiguity • Comfortable with reading and interpreting legislation and data • General interest in infocomm, tech, and media issues Please note that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.
