Senior Head or Senior/ Lead Manager, Higher Education Policy

As a Senior Head or Senior/ Lead Manager, Higher Education Policy in the University Policy Branch, Higher Education Group, you will be part of a dynamic team involved in the formulation, review and implementation of policies to develop the higher education landscape in Singapore. This position will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the Autonomous Universities (AUs) sector and opportunities to work closely with various stakeholders (e.g. AUs and other government agencies), and shape the future of the higher education landscape. You will also have the chance to gain exposure to a wide range of policy and operational considerations in the social and economic domains. • Formulate, implement and review policies for the AU sector to prepare students for work and life, while leveraging the strengths of the six publicly-funded AUs • Conduct longer-term strategic planning for the AU sector to ensure alignment with national priorities and prepare students to thrive in the future workplace • Guide the AUs on the implementation of policies and provide Ministry-level support where needed, including working with internal and external stakeholders across MOE and other government agencies on public communications, engagement and resourcing • Assess opportunities and represent the AU sector’s interests in international collaborations relating to university education • Support MOE’s political office holders and senior management in local and overseas engagements related to university education This is an individual contributor role.
