Civil Construction Project Engineer

Job Description & Requirements Job Summary The Civil Construction Project Engineer plans, coordinates, and oversees civil construction projects to ensure safe, timely, and budget-compliant delivery while meeting quality and client standards. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil construction project activities to achieve project milestones and quality standards Review project drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents to ensure accuracy and compliance Collaborate with project managers, site managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants to align project objectives and resolve issues Monitor project progress regularly to ensure work is completed according to schedule and budget Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and compliance with design and safety requirements Enforce adherence to safety regulations and company safety policies on site to maintain a safe working environment Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders Manage site materials, equipment, and manpower to optimize resource utilization and maintain workflow Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues and site construction problems promptly to minimize delays Ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and engineering standards through continuous quality control Required competencies and certifications Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil construction or project engineering Proficient knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately Good understanding of construction safety standards and regulations Preferred competencies and qualifications Experience in building construction, infrastructure, or structural projects Knowledge of construction planning and project scheduling techniques Familiarity with AutoCAD, project management software, or engineering tools
