Senior Application Support Engineer (Cobol/Db2) – 24/7 & Weekend Support_(Contract)

Job Description Develop, enhance, maintain, and support mission-critical enterprise applications. Provide production support, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex system issues. Design and implement batch processing solutions, data fixes, reports, and application enhancements. Collaborate with business users, developers, testers, and infrastructure teams to deliver system changes and projects. Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, deployment activities, and post-implementation monitoring. Participate in DevOps activities, release management, performance monitoring, and process automation. Ensure application stability, system performance, and compliance with business and technical requirements. Requirement: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. 8+ years of experience in software development, application enhancement, maintenance, and production support. Strong experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, SQL, and mainframe technologies. Experience supporting banking, treasury, financial services, government, or enterprise applications. Knowledge of MQ, Kafka, API/Web Services, DevOps practices, and deployment management is an advantage. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
