Company: Industrial Components Provider Location: Central Position: Automation/ Motion Control Engineer (Assistant Manager) (20338) Job Description: Lead the design and development of automation and motion control solutions using PLC, Robot, Vision and Motion technologies for customers' manufacturing requirements. Manage automation projects from technical evaluation, solution design, implementation, commissioning and project completion. Develop system architecture and select suitable electrical components for automation control systems. Review and approve electrical designs, component selection and purchase lists. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce machine cycle time, improve productivity and enhance system performance. Develop, optimise and troubleshoot PLC programs, motion control systems, Vision Systems, Robots, AGVs and Servo Systems. Analyse machine performance data, identify root causes and propose technical improvements to improve equipment efficiency and reliability. Serve as the technical lead for complex customer projects and provide engineering consultation to customers throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with Sales to understand customer requirements, provide technical presentations and recommend suitable automation solutions. Coordinate with HQ, overseas subsidiaries, suppliers and customers to resolve complex technical issues and ensure successful project delivery. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers. Keep abreast of new automation technologies and recommend innovative solutions that enhance the company's technical capabilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Motion Control, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in automation, motion control or machine builder industries. Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming, motion control systems, robots, servo systems and industrial automation. Experience leading automation projects from concept to implementation. Candidates with experience in Semiconductor, Display and Secondary Battery industries are highly preferred. Candidates with experience working in large manufacturing companies or machine builders are preferred. Willing to travel when required.
