Job Summary The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality compliance across all phases of shipbuilding and marine projects. This includes developing and implementing quality plans, conducting inspections and audits, managing testing and commissioning activities, analyzing quality performance, and liaising with stakeholders such as Class societies, owners, and regulatory authorities. The role plays a key part in ensuring that vessels and systems are delivered in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and shipyard quality requirements. ​ Key Responsibilities Formulating, implementing and managing QA/QC documents Wsuch as ITP, HAT,SAT and acceptance criteria and test protocols. Setting up and executing quality control audits at planned stages to ensure products and services meet the contract specifications and shipyard's quality standards. Preparing quality data collection, analysis and progress reports. Performing quality audits on shipyard's quality system as and when required. Representing the shipyard ‎to liaise with Class, Owner reps and regulatory bodies for acceptance of inspection, tests and trials. Managing the interests of various stakeholders on quality matters. Requirements and skills Degree or Diploma in Shipbuilding, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in the marine, offshore or shipbuilding industry. Experience in carrying out inspections across Hull, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and HVAC disciplines; commissioning experience will be an advantage. Good working knowledge of Classification Society rules and relevant international regulations. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills in English, as the role requires technical documentation and liaison with Class societies, Owners' representatives and regulatory authorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project. Experience in government or public-sector shipbuilding projects would be an advantage.
