Job Description Department: Materials / Procurement Reporting To: Procurement Manager / Head of Department Job Purpose: You will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities to ensure atimely, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of manufacturing materials. Youwill drive strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and costoptimization initiatives while maintaining full compliance with companypolicies. Key Responsibilities Procurement Operations & Delivery Plan and execute material purchases to meet production schedules. Manage order placement, track delivery timelines, and coordinate with suppliers. Resolve supply shortages, disruptions, and material quality issues. Align procurement activities with demand forecasts and inventory planning. Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization Develop sourcing strategies aligned with corporate cost-reduction targets. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and supplier SLAs. Execute cost-saving initiatives (VA/VE, material localization, dual sourcing). Manage procurement budgets and perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis. Supplier & Stakeholder Management Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using KPIs (OTIF, quality, responsiveness). Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and new model start-ups. Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks. Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholders. Process Excellence & Compliance Utilize ERP systems (SAP MM) to execute and manage procurement operations. Drive continuous process improvements using lean procurement tools. Perform spend analysis and generate regular procurement reports. Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, governance, and business ethics. Supervise and mentor junior procurement staff where applicable. Requirements (Qualifications & Experience) Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline. Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on procurement experience within a manufacturing environment (automotive sector experience is highly advantageous). Technical Skills: High proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP MM . Core Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Attributes: High level of professional integrity, with the ability to manage change and risk in a fast-paced environment. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Cost savings and cost reduction targets achieved. Supplier On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery and quality metrics. Success in inventory optimization and lead time reduction. Procurement budget adherence.
