Mobile Engineer (Android – Kotlin) – Government Digital Project

We are looking for an Android Mobile Engineer to develop and enhance a government mobile application serving the Muslim community. You will work within an Agile development squad to deliver secure, high-quality, and user-friendly mobile applications, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA engineers. Candidates with experience developing citizen-facing mobile applications or government digital services are encouraged to apply. Working Hours: Mon-Fri Working Location: Central Job Type: Singapore Salary Package: Up to $10,500 (basic) + AWS Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin. Implement new features and enhance existing mobile capabilities. Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and authentication services. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver intuitive and accessible user experiences. Ensure application performance, security, reliability, and scalability. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies. Troubleshoot production issues and support application releases. Ensure compliance with government security and accessibility requirements. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 6 years of experience in Android application development. Strong proficiency in Kotlin. Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, Android Studio, and Material Design. Experience integrating RESTful APIs and JSON-based services. Knowledge of MVVM architecture and modern Android development practices. Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with unit testing and UI testing frameworks. Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering government or public sector mobile applications. Familiarity with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC), SHIP-HATS, Digital Service Standards (DSS), and IM8 requirements. Experience publishing and maintaining applications on Google Play. Knowledge of mobile security best practices and accessibility standards. Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
